UK Height

Despite the common perception that buying land filled with huge boulders is a bad investment, this young client saw the potential and made the purchase without hesitation. However, upon visiting the site, the team was shocked to find a slope filled predominantly with massive boulders.

Designing a building on such a challenging terrain was no easy feat, and the extent of rock excavation required would make or break the project. To overcome this, the design team carefully studied the topography of the slope and used rock probing investigations to minimize rock excavation. As a result, the building is 'afloat' above the enormous boulder, creating a unique architectural form.

The building's bold design features a seamless roof profile that captures the shape of the rock, creating a striking visual impact. A suspended glass bridge provides a breathtaking view of the rock formation below, while the infinity-edge swimming pool offers panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur's skyline.
